Apples are one of nature’s most perfect foods, and they make perfect smoothies. They go great in this refreshing smoothie that tastes similar to an apple pie. If you have a powerful blender, leave the skins on your apples. If not, you can try peeling them or using unsweetened applesauce.
1 cup filtered water
5 whole walnuts
2 Granny Smith apples, cored and chopped
1 cup spinach leaves
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon honey
1 cup ice
Put the walnuts in the blender with the water. Allow to sit for a few minutes unless you have a powerful blender. Add the apples, spinach, cinnamon, honey and ice. Blend until smooth and creamy. Serve immediately.
